THIS SUNDAY WAS NOT MADE FOR CURIOUS WORKAHOLICS BUT FOR LECTURE

MOTTO

Competence, like truth, beauty, and contact lenses, is in the eye of the beholder.
(Laurence J Peter)

I have no idols. I admire work, dedication and competence. (Ayrton Senna)
Today I have the privilege to read the new book (in Romanian) of an old friend (17 years younger than me)- a local professor dedicated to the radical improvement of our education system. The book is a monograph of the over-complex concept of COMPETENCE- very well written - V. is a maestro of taxonomy; the book has 396 pages 631 references.
I read printed books with difficulty , but this one is a must. I have to learn.
We need competent LENR-ists, isn't it?

It is Sunday-Sunday, minimalist crop of LENR info- till now...

Rossi: Manufacturing and Outsourcing System in Place for E-Cat

A Quick Comment on Tesla Powerwall and Off the Grid Power – And The Killer App of LENR…

Andrea Rossi has answered other questions too, see please:

Dear Andrea Rossi,

1- While the test is ongoing, are you allowed to make significant changes to the software or firmware of the 1MW control system?

2- If the eCat fuel “runs out” as shown by a decrease in efficiency, how long will it take to replace all the charges (hours or days)?

3- I assume you are monitoring the individual eCat reactor’s efficiency or do you only monitor the aggregate efficiency?

4- You state you are with the unit many hours a day. I assume the unit is operating 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Is in unmanned during those times when you are not there or is there another member of your team (or someone else) who mans it?

5- Is the customer actively participating in the operation of the 1MW system? Has the customer’s technical people been trained on operations and maintenance. I assume at the end of the 400 days (or 350 days of operation), the operational control will transition to the customer’s technical staff. Is this true?

Steven N. Karels:
1- during the test and R&D period we are free to make any change we deem opportune
2- 2 days
3- aggregate and individual
4- during this period the E-Cat 1MW is always manned by our Team, even if it normally would not be necessary: the control system makes it man- free, but in this period we have to study it permanently, being the first plant in operation 24/7 in the factory of a Customer
5- we are following the procedures foreseen in the contract, which are under NDA.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

  1. Like electricity and electronics, we are at the Benjamin Franklin stage of our understanding of LENR as a technology. We stand in a field with a kite string in our hand with a kite lifting into a thundercloud.

The Innovation an insights of Maxwell are still many years off, the simple knowledge that allows an electrician to do his job is still not yet defined. The nature of the electron is not even imagined. The transistor and the technology of solid state systems is centuries off into the future.

Like electronic, LENR will require a onion layer approach to education. Complex technologies cannot be swallowed in one mouthful.

Such complex fields of knowledge is of a specific type of architecture I call "Onion Architecture". I've found that it leads to more maintainable applications since it emphasizes separation of concerns throughout the system. I must set the context for the use of this architecture before proceeding.

Like software and computer hardware design, It emphasizes the use of interfaces for behavior contracts, and it forces the externalization of infrastructure. Here there is a requirement for a traditional layered architecture. This is the basic architecture I see most frequently used. Each subsequent layer depends on the layers beneath it, and then every layer normally will depend on some common infrastructure and utility services. The big drawback to this top-down structure of knowledge, is that the detailed fundamental layers are incomprehensible until the top most layers are understood.

If someone were to reveal the ultimate cause of LENR, it would not be understood until all the upper layers were understood. This is why getting control. of LENR will take many years of exploration and education as each layer of the LENR knowledge base is put into place.
